EXCAVATIONS
One of the most characteristic features of the museum’s activity is research and the successive archaeological digs. In fact the scientific department of the museum, with logistical support from the Associazione Geoarcheologica di Chianciano Terme, has discovered the contents of more than 800 Etruscan tombs. The digs normally take place during the summer and use volunteers from the Associazione Geoarcheologica under the supervision of museum staff.
