ITS NAME
The official name of the Museo Etrusco is the Museo Civico Archeologico delle Acque di Chianciano Terme. If this title may seem misleading, it was chosen to underline the strong bond with water, in particular deriving from the hot springs, that has linked the population of our region since prehistoric times. It is no accident that all the religious buildings in the region are located near hot springs still used for therapeutic, bathing and beauty purposes.
